The Royal Pump Room is the building originally used by those wishing to 'take the Spa waters' for their health. It was built for this purpose when Leamington's popularity as a spa was at its height in the nineteenth century. It is now used mainly for social events, and the complex of buildings houses the Library and a bistro. In summer its balcony is decorated with flowers and hanging baskets.
